Pazuru is made by Hung Studios, a sole proprietorship based in California, United States. The licence for the app itself is Apple’s Standard End User Licence Agreement, which you accept through the App Store and which governs if anything here reads differently. This page is the plain-English version of the parts people actually write in about: what you are buying, where the pictures came from, and what happens to your photos.
What you get
Access to the app and to the collections you buy, on the devices your Apple Account covers. You are not buying the software itself, and you are not buying the artwork — see the artwork, which is a better deal than that sounds.
Purchases
- One-time, not a subscription. A collection you buy stays bought. Nothing renews and nothing expires.
- Tied to your Apple Account, not to a device or to us. Reinstall, change phone, and Restore purchases in Settings brings them back.
- Every collection includes free artworks, before and after any purchase. An artwork that is free today does not later become one you have to buy.
- All access covers every collection in the app, including collections added afterwards.
Buying three collections separately does not currently credit toward the all-access price. If that changes, it will only ever change in your favour.
Refunds
Every purchase is processed by Apple, so refunds are Apple’s to give. We cannot issue one, but we can help you ask: request it through reportaproblem.apple.com, or write to us and we will tell you what to say. If a collection was broken, undelivered or not what the store page described, tell us — that is our problem to fix regardless of who holds the money.
The artwork
The artworks in Pazuru are works in the public domain, published by open-access programmes at the institutions credited in the app. Those images were free before we used them and remain free: nothing here gives us a claim over them, and nothing here takes one away from you. If you want an artwork at full resolution, go to the institution that published it rather than to us.
What is ours is the app — its code, design, writing, and the selection, framing and arrangement of those artworks into collections. Please do not copy that part.
Your photos
Photos you import remain entirely yours. They stay on your device, we never receive them, and we claim no rights over them whatsoever. You are responsible for having the right to use any picture you import.
One ask
Do not attempt to circumvent purchases, redistribute the app’s assets as a collection, or use Pazuru to break the law. That is the whole list.
Availability
Pazuru is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be free of defects, that a given collection will remain available forever, or that it will run on every future version of iOS. If an artwork has to be removed from a collection you own, we will say so in the release notes.
If you are a consumer, none of this affects your statutory rights, and nothing on this page is meant to limit liability that cannot be limited.
Support
Support for Pazuru comes from us, not from Apple. Write to pazuru@hung-studios.com and a person will read it. The support page answers the common ones first.
Changes
We may update this page. The date at the top will change, and anything that affects what you bought will be noted in the app’s release notes. Nothing here applies retroactively to a purchase you have already made.
